With a Master of Arts in Teaching 6-12 math and over 25 years experience tutoring and teaching, I bring a depth of experience and research based best practices to help students master mathematical concepts and problems.
The active learning classroom
During my graduate program, I developed a classroom methodology of active learning specific to math instruction that I have refined over years in the classroom. I enjoy sharing with other math teachers how I go about planning, executing, and evaluating math lessons that transforms student engagement to student excitement about math class.

I would love to have the opportunity to come alongside your school and figure out the most thoughtful, safe, and sustainable AI tools and policies for your curriculum and professional development.
There are varying opinions on how fast schools should adopt AI practices. I do not come in with a fixed opinion, but rather listen to your opinions, gauge your comfort level with AI, and conduct research and make recommendations that fit your school’s mission statement and plan for improvement.
SDI Assessment
The Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI) assessment is a relationship intelligence tool designed for the workplace. The individualized reporting and team debrief workshop helps participants recognize and value their teammates’ different approaches to work and different styles of communication. As an SDI certified facilitator, I provide interpretations of each individualized report and lead the team debrief workshop.

Education and Experience
With an engineering degree from Georgia Tech, a masters in math education from Georgia State, and a gifted teaching certification from Gwinnett County Public Schools, I have the education, training, and experience to bring best practices to every education context, whether public or private. With ten years of experience in the classroom and over two decades of private tutoring experience, I understand the commonly shared issues in educating children and the teacher dedication that is required to create thriving learning environments. I am a lifelong learner and enjoy researching new ideas and collaborating with other educators to continue growing as a professional and a community member.
